90MIL

90mil is an award-winning (2024 & 2025 Club Commission Awards, Curation & Programme) temporary urban regeneration project near Jannowitzbrücke, Berlin. Since February 2023 the derelict site transformed into a multidisciplinary space for creation and community: it offers artist studios, performance rooms, a theater, a ceramics workshop, a movement studio, a wood and metal workshop, a community kitchen and garden. 90mil has a  donation-based programme centered on public access, eclectic, unexpected and cross-disciplinary works, and international collaboration.

My involvement as part of the management team encompasses: administration (submissions, info management, bookkeeping, etc.), event production and management (organizer liaison, budget, on-site mgmt), and ad-hoc duties (volunteer coordination, build, funding applications).

IS THAT ALL THERE IS?

IS THAT ALL THERE IS? is a festival concept produced by 90mil activating the association's entire physical space. Its first two editions took place on August 1-3, 2025, and May 1-3, 2026. The event platformed established and rising artists as well as creators from the broader 90mil community from several areas of practice (live and recorded sound, performance, visual art, sculpture, dance).

Facing the incoming demolition of the venue, we decided to open our home for everybody to celebrate with us. Monkey Shoulder, in connection with Worldwide FM Radio, granted us 10k EUR in 2025 to finance a showcase of sound-based artist group DWAM (full video available in links below).

My role within the production focused on (but wasn't limited to) artist administration and liaison, on-site care, stage management, and overall festival on-site management.

Participating artists (100+) included: Blu Bone, Abdullah Miniawy, Otis Mensah, Sonic Interventions, Oscar Attanga, Takkak Takkak, Alex Rapp, Softchaos, Vida Vojič, Ziggy Zeitgeist, and many more.

EXHIBITION PRODUCTION

Exhibition production experiences include: mounting and dismantling, installation construction, photographic material prep, framing, art handling/transport prep, set-up building (plinths, partition walls, hanging systems, shelves).

Cooperations: Spore Initiativ (ongoing), Schloss Biesdorf, Creamcake, Galerie Monica Rupert, ReTramp, BLINK.

PRODUCTION MISC

Independently-produced events and event support, including: Queer Performance Festival (co-production and stage management), SISMO AL SON (initiator and producer), Macha Kiddo (event producer), Casa Latinoamericana e.V. (event support), Slime (event support), RevolteRouge (event support).

BRIDGE

bridge (2018-2022) was a publication and performance series platforming fresh voices of poetry. Each booklet and event introduced 4-6 writers as well as visual and sound artists who rounded out the proposals.

I initiated, conceptualized, and co-led bridge all throughout. Together with my project partner, Patrick Kurth (currently Spike Magazine), I was in charge of editorial design, liaison (artists, partners), submissions, and editing.

Featured artists included: Dasom Yang, Cru Encarnação, Marina Reza, Alex Norton, Winifred Wong, Dayna Gross, Jasmina Al-Qaisi, etc.

ZINES

Zine-making, experimental publication design, editorial design. Works include:

* "few feet from fronuts" (poetry, rework of digital interactions),

* "but ain't all poems love poems?" (poetry, written in jazz concerts),

* "Carot" (entirely redesigned alternative tarot set),

* "FU Review" (literary journal funded by the Freie Universität in Berlin).

In the works:

* "BREAK THIS TOO" (poetry, a zine to be ripped to pieces),

* "But," (experimental, a zine about butts with 15+ scans).

VIDEO WORK

Works include:

* "der beaver [sic]" (experimental, original sound and camcorder footage),
* "treinta" (audiovisual collage, sound and video recordings as well as editing by me),

* "SLEEP CURES SLEEPINESS" (experimental horror short, direction and editing by me, original score by tomrod),

* "Traum[a]land" (exhibition promo video, direction by Britta Adler, editing by me),

* "Soroa Lear" (dancer reel/promo video, various videographers, cut by me).

DIGITAL FREEDOM FUND

At the Digital Freedom Fund, a non-profit organization advocating for digital rights in Europe, I focused primarily on the creative coordination of design and audiovisual projects.

I directed the creation of four books (two digital, two print), one animated short, and an interactive landing page functioning as database. The printed booklets (40+ pages, perfect bound, illustrated) were distributed to other organizations as well as representatives of digital rights in Europe. Additionally, I built an internal training toolkit for Project Managers to understand the process of coordinating creative work, lingo, industry standards, expectations, etc. Finally, I set up the spine of a creator database that they can internally use to find the right creator for each project.

As a designer, I directed and designed a 40+ page book ("Practical guide to legal pathways for platform accountability in Europe"), illustrated by Nippun Bhalla, which promotes and explains the different accesses to justice when platforms violate citizens' rights.

99DESIGNS

In my years as Manager at 99designs, I strove to build the best environment for the platform's community of over 10k [monthly-]active designers as well as the team directly supporting their day-to-day concerns.

I was tasked with building the Designer Curation department, assigned to build and supervise all submission procedures (portfolio, level, and field/industry assessments), designer policy (contractual obligations between designers, clients, and company), vetting processes (campaigns, VIP clients, competitions), and support all designer-related product research, updates, and optimizations.

Moreover, I was in charge of designer community analytics; I queried data using SQL and visualized it (DOMO, Mode, Google Looker) in reports analyzing development, areas with potential and those causing friction.

99designs was acquired by Vista and is currently under its management.

POETRY

  • forced inside by high-pitched beeping

    you stand between my eyelids

    and intermittent red

    i breathe:

                   damp wait

                   wool mold

you grind your saliva-washed apfelmus teeth

    remembering thirty-five nautical dawns lost.

my redundant scarf repels the sticky ripstop

that jails your pillowed figure and i wonder

what do you like for breakfast?

you slaughter my taste for carrot soup.

    *

    disinterested you

    fondle slowly

    candy mirrors

    boringly

    and knit your brow

    adjusting focus

       +finger nodding.

    the morning flesh dances

    to the predictable musical dissonance

    welcoming preys.

    spatial deficiency divulges:

                   soup soap

                   sap sclera

i contemplate the curvature of your elbow while i notice

                                                                                   axillary alliums in the u-bahn.

  • failing at predictability is often a cause of harm:

    trip over another's foot

              bump another's trunk

miss the edge of a step

    a foot takes center stage

surrounded by all my other inversions

is the light at the mouth of the tunnel                                   or its end?

accelerating electrons expose me and my next months’ problem.

    the narrative arc overprones

with the strength of my big toe

with the crush of my tiptoe

up down up down, one foot in front of the other

    (catch a glare)

       i stare at the stairs

               i fly over the flight

right before the last lid slid over my eyeballs, the zoombdt alerted me back awake. oh, not a fly's zoombdt. i rise as if in armageddon, ready to judge and be judged. my aim is quick and my wrist quicker – one try and she stopped the buzzing. as i hear it resuming weakly, i approach the upside-down lampshade where she found refuge. the light bulb is dazzling and her body detailed: her little foot has been injured and she rubs it skillfully, maybe with care, maybe with pain, maybe with defeat. marguerite duras once wrote: "The death of that fly has become this displacement of literature. One writes without knowing it. One writes by watching a fly relinquish its life."

i rub my foot at candlelight

with care, with pain, with defeat.

      ?LARANJA SUCO NATURAL
      ?mezcla manga con abacaxí
      ?batido de leche condensada

    dame un día como
    diez noches de verano
    [praia, quenchi, tu cuerpo]
una noche como diez años de anhelarte

¿cómo sabrá tu índice quitándome las palabras
cuál es el acorde de tu aullido
    ?
